Believe it or not, you don't set the standard, and some people, even other white people, speak differently than you. I often hear and see whites, like everyone else, thinking they're speaking and/or typing PROPER English when in actuality, there are enough grammatical and pronunciation errors to make your head spin. My area is rife with it, and I live in an upper middle class suburb.
