Preorders for most websites (even FUCKING GAMESTOP) don't charge any money in advance for pre-ordering, and most are free to cancel anytime if you decide to. Most stores don't charge either. Gamestop and best buy are the only ones that require deposits in store, yet if you order online to pick up at store you don't get charged.
It's worth it to me to preorder. Get the game guaranteed, don't pay money, and in Amazon's case, if they fuck up the price and lower it for 10 minutes, I get that new price without having to cancel and renew my order.
