Because Pokemon is something we like and we would like to see designs that we will find appealing. We like it enough to play it regardless of what Pokemon we will get, so we want them to be well designed and are disappointed if they aren't.

But it has. We play every game that comes out for hundreds of hours. If we are going to be playing it anyway, seeing badly designed or seeing our favorite Pokemon be shit all that time isn't something we like.

In this case, it does. Everyone has favorites they would like to see getting more attention, some Pokemon they wished was stronger or some Pokemon they wished existed. If you have to wait 20 years and still not get that little thing, and instead get some badly designed shit, you will get a little angry. Everyone would.

Most people have something in their life besides videogames. Things like family, work, a social life, friends, etc. so things like this wouldn't bother them to the point they are feuling with hatred and anger. The reason people get angry at things like Pokemon designs being icecream and shit is because the have the mentality and mental maturity of a small child and absolutely nothing going on in their life and are completely and utterly lonely.
