During the team magma ep we see him running alongside his sceptile while it one shots every pokemon it comes across like they're stepping stones. They didn't even look like battles.
And then in the deoxys ep, after deoxys appeared he just subtly taps Mega Rayquaza to command him. I don't know why I like that part but it just says something to me. And he's literally right there inside the intense battle riding Mega Rayquaza for half the battle and smoothly gets offs to land on the satellite. Then we see him barely dodge deoxys, which shows how he's really in a life or death situation.
I know I sound like an autistic retard with how these happened in the game already, but somehow Generations just makes those events infinitely more cool. I think it's cause it feels like he's a more physically involved in the battles instead of just to the side, and it comes off looking pretty sweet.
