Here's some details about Russia
-A large chunk of it is boreal forest
-Few mountains
-A small tundra area is northeastern area
-Very cold areas, possibilities for ice type variants

Le'me stop you there, a russian region would be cool and all, but it would have to be a specific area. Notice how even small countries like france, which was turned into Kalos, is split in halfin the pokemon equivalent of it. So the area around Moscow would be a good way to go.

I'd be hype as fuck for a radioactive themed legendary/ mythic. Make obtainable in an abandoned city environment (GF needs to make one of these).

okay instead of being a boring fuck, make all those stupid wagon-riding "russian-forms" regular new pokemon. if theyre too similar, than think of something different, because this shit is ridiculous.
the starter companion thing is cool though, make a water/fighting type goat>ram>satyr/capricorn type of deal
fire/psychic type fox/kitsune with a lot of mystical lure and white in its color scheme
grass/dark woodland wolf/werewolf with a cool furry mane with dead leaves in it. this one could be totally cool and raggedy looking, with native american/tribal inspiration.

this is a cool idea for a potentially region, don't fuck it up.

Ok, here's my ideas for the starters...they're not original, so I just took some two stage lines and adapted them.

Skidoo (Grass) -Level 36-> Gogoat (Grass/Ground)
Stuffle (Fire/Normal) -Level 36-> Bewear (Fire/Fighting)
Barboach (Water) -level 36-> Barboach (Water/Dragon)

Normal/steel rodent.
Bug/ice insect found near the hometown.
Husky is the regional dog. Is pure or part ice.
the regional bird is part rock.

Ghosts can be found in the Mirny mine and in a abandoned hotel in st petersburg.
