Also your image is extremely ugly because it's a hodgepodge of various beasts with no real cohesion but you know what?
That's the point, they're meant to be a horrific and ugly creation. If you remove that aspect of them then you've effectively removed a large part of what makes it a chimera.
Oh and if that's your favourite area I suggest you look into something new.
