>>29569779I always disliked Golem (talking RBY here) because it totally outclassed Rhydon, despite Rhydon having a much cooler design. Geodude is available way earlier than Rhyhorn, evolves much quicker, and actually learns rock- and ground- type moves. Then later on I learned that Golem > Rhydon competitively too because of Explosion, which just sealed its fate.
Beyond gen 1 neither is relevant anyway so yeah
