Ability Capsules are going to do you no good since you can't bring them to Sun/Moon. PP Ups, however, still have use, since you can boost the PP of your competitive mons before transferring them.

Game sync to send to the PGL, log into the site and go to pokemilage club. Then game sync again to send them to the game.

You can spend pokemiles in-game too but it's more expensive and there's no ability capsules

This doesn't affect Bank miles unless you've transferred them to XYORAS already. If you leave them in Bank and let them accumulate you can redeem them in SM next January when those are scheduled for compatibility.

Global Link was a massive downgrade over what Gen V had. Shit, the only game on the GL which required some form of "skill" or even just paying attention was the Catcher one. And even then the reward was just as randomized as it was in the other three games so it was like, why even try to successfully clear it? Have very little faith in the next iteration of it being any good.

If you haven't sent them to the PGL they'll stay in your game. In-game item prices are double what they are on the PGL and selection much more limited, but they won't vanish into the ether.

Of course. If you wanted to battle online with random people, you needed to use rated or else you'll find a bunch of kids with box legends and gimmicky strategies. In rated you actually found very competitive matches and almost no bullshit since that shit would stay at the bottom of the ladder.
