Here are my top 6 bros in Pokemon. Shiftry was caught in Ruby and I still have him, my only ever shiny I've ever had. The rest were bros in certain runs I've had. Love em all to death.

I don't win a lot of battles, though

I fond of people who still use their mons from that long ago. My Swampert, Flygon and Corsola are my favorite Pokemon and bros from Sapphire version. Good on you, bro.

Sinnohfag here. Picked all of these Pokemon because I like them.
Not a competitive one though, just for like main adventure and maybe post-game. (The Smeargle is for shiny-hunting)

Ice is the coolest type IMO and along with Electric, Grass and Bug it's among my favourite types all around.

It really should get resistances to shit like grass, water or dragon. The fact that it takes neutral damage from almost everything it's strong against confuses me.
