Venusaur is the one that is people list as their favorite the most out of the Kanto Starters. It's not just on /vp/. I've seen this happen everywhere. Everyone apparently loves Venusaur, yet they all claim it is "underrated".
Look at this thread, for example. While the "overrated" Charizard has been posted by only 2 people, and Venusaur is all over the place. Probably mentioned the most, maybe losing only to Sceptile.
On top of that, Venusaur has a pretty shit design. Ivysaur is great, but Venusaur becomes too fat and has those weird little pimples all over its body. If you like him, that's cool. You do you, but it has a shit design compared to the rest of the starters. People like Venusaur simply because they want to be "special".
Venusaur is the most overrated starter to date. If that monstrosity was something that came out today, literally EVERYONE would hate it for ruining the Bulbasaur line.
If you disagree with me, please tell me what exactly do you like about Venusaur. Please try to be specific about it. Not some vague shit like "it's a bro tier mon".
