I keep seeing people use it in battles. Is it really worth it? What is a good, simple moveset for it?

That gives it a Spore/Leech Seed immunity. Also Goodra has more Sp.Def, can beat ZardY even under sun and Dragon resists a lot of common special attacking types. It's also a special attacker. Goodra's not great, and probably is the worst pseudo, but it's still pretty usable.

It mostly doesn't work. It's not very good. But yeah, sdef is its best stat.

If weather worked like it did in gen 5 it would actually be one of the best rest/hydration abusers in the game and not at all a bad pokemon. I somehow think that gf designed Goodra before deciding to make that change.

It's a pretty passable wallbreaker. Weaker coverage than special set, but gets boosted by Sap Sipper and Outrage can punch holes in a bulkier team once you get rid of steels and fairies.
It's still a shitmon, but surprise factor can work since most people expect special Goodra.

It's worth it only if it is properly supported and used when the opponent has been crippled like whoa. Otherwise you might wanna use Latias for tanking and offensive shenanigans.

That 1% being Magikarp. Magikarp is virtually useless in battle as it can only splash around.

I used to run something like this back when XY first started. It's a godly special tank, especially with Sap Sipper to avoid sleep/seed shenanigans. It seriously needs Wish support to succeed, though.

Sludge bomb/wave
Focus Blast
Muddy Water/Thunderbolt/Fireblast

This is the best set you can run with Goodra without it being outclassed as a dragon, AV set is garbage merely because it is too passive. Specs fixes it, Dmeteor punishes a ridiculous amount of stuff with specs, no fairy can switch in on specs sludge bomb and the wildcard move is depending on your team, I honestly prefer fireblast but Thunderbolt got its merits.

Seriously, never run AV on Goodra, it got enough natural bulk to punish all the volt switch users and make electric, water and grass types his bitch, sap sipper I'd mandatory to break mega Venusaur and have a reliable answer that covers both Thundurus I, Tangrowth and Serperior in a single slot.
