I'd leak Rowlet and post two fakemons along with it, like a Fire hippo and a Water gecko. When the starters get officially revealed, people would think the two fakemons aren't starters and are 'normal' Pokemon. BUT when the whole Dex gets datamined, they won't be there, and /vp/ would be filled with "Did the leaker accurately predict Rowlet or were the two other mons beta designs?" threads with shit flinging everywhere.

Wouldn't work. At that point everyone would think they were scrapped pokemon like gen 2 tirtouga, gen 3 shellos etc. and then wonder if they'd see them again each time a new gen dropped

Reveal Alolan Dugtrio the same day Mega Ampharos was revealed, so people assume it's also a Mega and start shitflinging about how lazy Game Freak is getting by just adding hair to old Pokemon.
