>>29601188I mean, sure, you wanna call it that go on, but note that "fighter" is still part of the main description. It's not an afterthought, it's essential part of the design. That's what upsets people, it's been done before. Maybe in different ways, but it's been there a lot in the past generations.
>>29601257Yes, I know that. But the way they fight is mostly based on their physical appearance. Doesn't really invalidate the point.
>>29601291Dark type moves are underhanded tactics, but being a dark type doesn't necessarily have to make a pokemon's main theme "dirty fighter". Look at Absol, Tyranitar, Murkrow, etc. They use underhanded fighting methods but they, themselves, are not "dirty fighters" the same way incineroar is.
Come on, can you at least see what I'm trying to say?
>>29601324Yes, but see, there are other ways you could make show boating a theme without going into a wrestler theme. If we go according to your logic, they made "heel wrestler" the support of its main theme which doesn't really change much. Point is, it's a wrestler. Heel or face, they are both wrestlers, and wrestlers are fighters. There's no way around that, even if you say "wrestling is fake", it's fake FIGHTING.
I was never a fan of the evolutionary line even before I saw the leaks, but point is, people are upset because no matter how you spin it, a central part of Incineroar's theme is that it's a bloody fighter. Maybe it's a dirty fighter, maybe it's a show off fighter, point is, it's a wrestler and people are tired of seeing fire starters just show another side of fighting
