How good does Catastropika have to be in order to justify NOT using a light ball instead?
Also, why not Pikatastrophe?

The 'k' in pika sounds identical to the 'c' in catastrophe. The only sounds which are different depend on how you pronounce catastrophe.

'uh' as in fun or 'at' as in "shatter"

Well assuming it uses Volt Tackle as the base like Giga Impact for Pulverizing Pancake, it would literally have to double Volt Tackle's bp just to be on par with VT under Light Ball.
