Funny story, had a friend for Gen 3, 4, and 5, who always bought both games and gave me one so we could play together. When Gen 5 rolled around, he liked Reshiram more, but gave me Black because he didn't like the connotations of having the "black" version. Said that white sounds better than black.

Don't listen to any faggot here. If by chance you won't enjoy BW, it might turn you off from BW2 (why there's so many Unova haters around). Play BW2 first and then rush through BW just for the story if you feel like it afterwards. BW2 does everything BW does better except for story.

Also don't listen to faggots that say you should go B->W2/W->B2. Always stick to your initial color (W2->W, B2->B).

Is there literally any advantage of not swapping between sequels? It just makes sense to go from Black to White 2 and then White to Black 2 because of the box legendaries.

Half of the NPCs in BW2 reference shit that happened in BW1 along with the entire plot showing the consequences of the first games, why wouldn't you play the originals first?

Yeah, and I kinda prefer the comfier vibe of BW, and then BW2 kinda felt like a more cyber-infused and less intimate version. Still the better game I'd say, but I like BW Unova more than BW2 Unova and the plot more for sure.
BW2 Unova has amazing standouts like the sewers, Join Avenue, or PWT, but then had some really shit parts like the Plasma Frigate.

Well yea, it's a given that bw2 is better gameplay/content wise because it was made after bw1 and only improves from it.
The thing that made gen5 stand at though was the story from BW1, which is why I don't understand how so many could play the sequels first and completely ignore what made the gen so great.
