XY had a terrible roster. Another garbage bug/flying butterfly and the phoned in garbage that was Pyroar. Fucking 68 attack and moxie.

Not to mention shit like some types having fuck all representation in the dex.

SM has a terrible roster which only includes a few noncancerous pokemon like pyukumuku, pikipek line, cutiefly, mimikyu, Tapu Fini and mostly awful legendaries whereas XY often had fantastic design lines like talonflame, sylveon, greninja, aegislash, Goomy (not the evos), noivern and the box legendaries like xern, yvetal and zygarde and the non good pokemon still looked like pokemon and not a random series of shapes.

All great lines. SM has one of the best rosters in my opinion, I actually had a fuck ton of trouble forming a team unlike say, gen 4.
