I like that meowth introduced the monarchy being a past thing, and that they made the difference due to selective breeding and not alola being isolated/ natural evolution. The line gets a pass from me. Better than the persian but black/ liepard that everyone wanted.

Also those luxury cats also have bulky bodys with a lot of fur. Alola Persian retains the same body, so it looks stupid and unbalanced

It makes sense if there was no other cat-like pokemon in the whole island.
That's clearly the intention of the design, since it was a pure breed that ended up looking weird because they got released into the wild.

I'm more amazed of how much hate it got since it's a much much more logical evolution for Meowth rather than going cat>>panther for no reason whatsoever.
