What do you guys think about the filesize of sun and moon? It's almost twice as big as XY/ORAS.
What could be that big amount of extra conent?

The models weren't in, they were just pictures of the Pokemon that appear in the Alolan Dex.

IIRC the demo was 400 MB.

XY/ORAS had lazy grid-based overworlds whereas SM will be fully polygonal. Also there will be no more 2D trainer sprites. That accounts for the bulk of the extra data, plus all the data for new Pokemon and Kanto formes.

Like as if you know ANYTHING in the romfs of the 3DS games. XY/ORAS ran uncompressed audio as well. Only the Amie tracks are sequenced with samples.
Cutscenes don't take much space, as it's just animation, mostly. Textures are what takes up a majority of space, that includes all mons, UI and the region itself.

i think (don't quote me on this, but i think) that if you buy a physical version, you don't need 26K blocks or however many it is, i mean, i have loads of physical games and i only have a 8GB SD card so... i don't think the block size matters if you buy the physical copy

The Gen 1 port for Virtual Console was the nostalgia pandering, and GF had shown they'll keep support it with the Mew event.
Have a Kanto postgame would be a stupid business decision when they can make you buy RGBY separately

Pretty sure Battle Tree is the only postgame we're gonna get. Maybe some kind of extra chapter like the Delta Episode, or the Looker quest in XY.

The extra space is for models and cutscenes. If we're lucky, Battle Tree will have a lot of cool modes with all the previous Gym Leaders/ Champions (Kinda like PWT, but better)
