I wanted to say that it varies with species, and a relationship with what's basically your dog wouldn't work, but then there's that lady on the GC games that has a Mightyena boyfriend, so anything goes, I guess. The only people that deny it and use the "they're animals" are obviously retarded, because they can't tell the difference between animals and Pokemon. This is not asking if you would do it, only if it's possible or acceptable.
In the anime, at least 3 Pokemon have lusted after Ash, in the games there's some examples and then there's Salandit's description. I think it's safe to assume humans and Pokemon can have a felationship, but we don't know if it's legal in their world. It probably is, because some openly admit it, but it may be frowned upon.
There should be a lot of more morally questionable things you should talk about, like, "Is it okay to catch a Pokemon against their will and force them to fight for you?" or "If Pokemon are really intelligent, why do a lot of them act like actual animals, particularly in the anime? Is it okay if a sentient Pokemon murders another to eat it?"
