Not every Pokemon is designed with actually being good in the games in mind. Some are designed for merchandising and cuteness for other media, which Pyukumuku appears to be. It's why not every Pokemon is part of a 3 stage line.

I'm interested in seeing the stat investments in this guy for competitive. Obviously 0 IV/EV in Def and SpDef, so it dies easy, but HP is going to be interesting. You're going to want it to be high so you can deal more suicide damage, but not so high you accidentally survive with 12 hp and end up wasting one of your party slots

I feel like it'll be a good counter to setup sweepers. Opponent gets off a few SD/DDs, you send out something as bait, then switch to Pyuku to take the hit and you've got a dead sweeper.

If they end up really pushing the mouth-fist, then higher attack and add some punching moves, but personally I don't really see gamefreak doing something like that

I think it has potential.

It's a safety net. You can't set up or sweep because the opponent's Pyukumuku is still healthy, and you'd just lose your sweeper to Innards Out.

All it needs is high HP and decent attacking stats and/or movepool. Speed and defenses will probably be low, but I can see it getting free turns (when used with good timing) as your opponent has to play around it.

It might learn Spikes.

Attacks are always improved when turned into an ability. Compare Magic Bounce to Magic Coat, the auto-terrain abilities to their moves, etc.

Innards Out is an auto-Destiny Bond.

So have they gone into details how innards out works? Is it like "spikes" damage or is it like the aftermath ability but it affects everyone?.....or is it like counter where the higher his HP is before death the more damage it deals? Regardless thats going to be annoying as fuck fighting those things in the wild (grinding) or if trainers have them.

It only affects the one that killed it. It's kinda like aftermath, except instead of losing a set 25%, you lose the same hp you took from it when it fainted. if it has 12hp before it faints you only lose 12hp. of course if you ohko it, and it has like 300 hp, you lose 300 hp, potentially killing yourself in the process.

Unless it gets a good support movepool, it'll just end up like Imposter Ditto. Neat gimmick that looks good on paper, but ultimately not worth wasting a team slot for.

Final Gambit is a better choice. It kills off Pyukumuku, dealing damage once, then his ability triggers, dealing the same amount of damage again.
