Looking for a game to play while killing time for Sun and Moon. How's this one? It's the only Gen IV game I've never played before.

Tied with HGSS as the best game in the series IMO. Only thing holding it back is the slow ass Gen 4 engine.

I'm currently playing playing Flawless Platinum:Challenge Mode.I'm currently stuck at Mars due to his Purugly being a bitch and Elekid haxing with Static paralysis.otherwise,it's fun.

She was nerfed in Platinum though. She was a much better challenge in D/P. Overall probably my favorite Gen next to 2 though (probably tied desu).

Cynthia's Garchomp in DP is probably the hardest storyline battle in the whole series. And don't they get buffed up to ~75 for the rematch?

It's the only decent game of Sinnoh.
D/P are probably the worst main series games.
Platinum fixes most of its major issues (without changing the engine) with the only sin being adding in the most useless shoe-horn npc of the series.

I tried going back to Gen 5 after playing XY and holy shit did those sprites look way worse than I remembered playing through the first time.

Plat is way better than Diamond and pearl. You can actually get some of the cross-gen evolutions before beating the game. You can use one of the two native Eeveelutions.

If you played pearl and didn't dig your own eyes out you'll probably love platinum. Still not as good as the gen 2 remakes though.
