>>29688682The problem to me, as well as some others, is that a woodpecker Pokémon has a lot of potential to become something interesting. Same with a toucan Pokémon, there's so many ways to take the idea, and the two birds are even often brought up in "animals you want to see as pokémon" threads.
Then we end up with "My mom's woodpecker" which evolves into "My mom's toucan", with a fat bird inbetween. To me, it's just not appealing.
