The ones on the right except Venusaur are too dark. They look like the pictures were quickly edited.

The actual best colors for most Pokemon are something in-between the Sugimori art and old sprites.

If it wasn't for Blue changing the sprites to look more like the anime you would still have shit like white horned Charmeleon and the likes from OG Red and Green.

The sprites in Red/Green were just dogshit. It had nothing to do with the anime, the Blue sprites were just closer to how the artists actually intended them to look.

While the models may look quite washed out, I actually prefer the more neutral looking colour palette.

The ones on the far right are way too saturated to the point that they are just garish, it looks unnatural. Venusaur for example is some neon cyan colour, and the blue on Blastoise is way too heavy. They just aren't very natural looking colours.

That said they could still increase the saturation without making them too overblown.

It'd be a really easy fix desu and considering all the Gen 6/7 games will be using the same models you could easily make mods for all of them.

I'm down to contribute if someone with knowledge of 3DS modding can manage the project. Graphic designer with 7 years of experience and I know Photoshop like the back of my hand.
