Why do people bitch about Nurmel? It's the color of an actual blue PERSIAN cat. Black is boring, especially for a pure Dark cat. Umbreon is fine since it's only sort of cat-like.

The issue is not the color, the issue is the large and out of place head, which looks to have been swollen due to severe lasagna allergies. It might have been a nice design IF

Why not? A different color palette CAN appear to change appearance a lot. Plus it could work as a reference as how melanism can be successful in certain areas and conditions.
