They fixed a arm11 kernel exploit, but it might be a different one.

More interesting would be the race condition in the downgrade protection that they fixed with 11.2. If that one can be exploited we could see 11.1 downgrades without buying a dsiware title

Grab a copy of one of these games: Cubic Ninja, FreakyForms Deluxe, or Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (New 3DS only). If you have a Powersaves device (you dirty cheater), you can use way more games as your entry point: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

Follow the guides here: https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Exploits
to boot the Homebrew Channel.
Then use the 3DS Homebrew application "Braindump" to rip the game.

arm11 will be compatibile with a9lh? Will you have to update it?

I have 11.1 on my n3ds XL (and luma a9lh on old 3ds) so this interests me. I'd love to do cfw on n3ds XL, waiting for monster hunter xx on march. I was dumb for updating to 11.1.

if you have a9lh and luma on o3ds you can downgrade your n3ds by buying fieldrunners(legit copy needed from the eshop, 5$) and doing a system transfer.

If we get a arm11kernel exploit we might be able to inject the fieldrunners savegame without needing a hacked 3ds and system transfer.

decrypt9 homebrew only works on versions between 9.0 and 9.2. That's why people need to downgrade to those versions to install unsigned CIAs. Braindump does exist though, and would serve the purpose of dumping Sun and Moon.
