GF's power creeping has been fucking unreal in the past few generations, with new pokemon (or new mechanics, such as mega evolution) that completely crowd out most older pokemon and make them invalidated.
Because of this, I assumed that GF would release another broken ass generation with normal pokemon that have 145 base stats and 120 speed with 2 uncommon type weaknesses and a good ability.
But, it looks like a lot of the pokemon being released are straight up shitmons. And the new Z-move mechanic is only usable once per battle and the moves aren't exaggeratedly strong either (and some of them have interesting effects, such as Z-Destiny Bond). The legendaries don't have ridiculously broken stats either.
Good job Gamefreak, I'm glad you finally realized you can't keep raising the average pokemon's base stats by 50 every generation while giving them no weaknesses.
