Weren't Rockruff and the starters supposed to share a secret? I assumed it was the form thing, but we know now that isn't the case. What was it?

Fancy talk, similar to what happened to Zoroark where they hyped it up with a "never before seen" evolution method and in reality it was nothing. They never really shared a secret to begin with since that apparently was a mistranslation, but still the apparent "real" secret was just unique Z-moves.
