I'm really bummed out over this lil guy. I was hoping to use him in a playthrough, but its stats, ability and movepool just dont make sense to me.
Anyone have any ideas for a pyukumuku set?

Yeah, you can't use him well in the story but he could have a lot of competitive presence over a wide field of tiers. He's a shuckle who is solely meant for stall, not setting up teammates.

Outside of doubles, best you'really probably gonna get is running baton pass and some setup moves. You could also run toxic, sub, protect, recover, but you'll have to switch out vs poison, steel, taunt, immunity, etc.

It seems really counter productive that they gave it low HP with high defenses when it has an ability that favors the opposite.

what could they have possibly been thinking

its stats are completely counter-intuitive to its gimmick

i guess we'll have to see how it pans put, but it really seems like gamefreak just added pyukumuku as a fluff pokémon

This thing could have been an interesting support mon if they had given Wobbuffet style defenses instead of going the Shuckle route.

With the stats it got, it's ability is effectively just a worse Aftermath. Mono Water typing and a pretty underwhelming movepool just seal its fate to be PU forever.
