I actually think they do the best games, the pressure on the poster generational games must make developing them shitty, whereas remakes or less "important" games must get more freedom, they introduce the best features, but sadly they always get such features disregarded when moving to the next big game.

This thread is retarded.

Gen II doesn't get represented because it doesn't have that unique an identity compared to the others. GSC were designed to be "Pokémon 2," whereas RSE would start the trend of each subsequent Gen soft-resetting the franchise. Gen II consistently gets compared to the others without keeping this in mind.

It's a shame it still doesn't get Kanto exposure with this point in mind. It's basically completely ignoring 100 Kanto+ Pokemon and characters, only to focus on the core originals

Game Freak knew they could get away with shilling Hoenn in this generation which is how they got away with shit like ORAS, but Johto's gonna be completely forgotten despite HGSS being some of the best games in the series

Not even Sinnoh has it this bad. I wouldn't mind if Game Freak shilled Johto a little more since it was Kanto 2, but there's just nothing for it. Not even Alolan forms

Kanto = Emphasis on science (Silph Co., Radio Tower, Power Plant, Mewtwo, etc.)

Johto = Emphasis on communing with nature (Sprout Tower, Slowpoke Well, Ruins of the Alph, etc.)
