I've seen Dex descriptions of Pokemon Megas.
What did they mean by this? Is it just regular edge or GF realizing that the whole idea was a mistake? Seriously, they went from sunshine and rainbows powered by dead Pokemon in Gen 6 to implications that Mega Evolution pushing Pokemon's powers to critical limits and makes that bloodthirsty.

Megas have always been a bit dark, considering they exist thanks to AZ's huge genocide cannon killing thousands. So it was a bit weird in Gen 6 for it to be such a "yay friendship power" situation.

Now it's more like you need a strong bond to mega evolve your Pokemon because if they didn't trust you they'd probably kill you

Oras letting you choose was a far better experience than this shoehorned bullshit, but I guess they believed that kids would be too retarded to understand mega evos if it wasn't force fed to them.
