Is anyone playing through without the exp share?

Whats the challenge like, is it similar to the older games?

Also do you even get the exp share early like XY?

You get it almost immediately but leakers are saying its balanced better so even with it, they need to grind a little.

Yeah I am playing with xp share, the game is not easy as XY at all, especially if you gonna catch only new Pokemons (they are really slow)

How about without it, does it make it impossible?

I was able to playthrough ORAS without it and was still a few levels above the E4.

playing without exp share and just got to the second island, not as easy as ORAS or X/Y. My pokemons are fairly even lvled with trainer ones so far.

I've been playing without it and so far I've been consistently slightly over-leveled without any grinding. I'm still pretty early though, I just passed the ranch town on the second island.

Seems like there are conflicting opinions, ill probably try play without it and just turn it on if it gets too much of a struggle.

Looking for a quick reply before going to bed - do trainers actually use more than three pokemon this time? In gen 6 the ONLY trainers to use a full 6-mon team were Diantha and the obligatory Magikarp guy. Elite 4 and Lysandre had 5 pokes each, and pretty much every route trainer had 2-3 tops.

Playing without it and the game is fairly more challenging, at least from the standpoint of having to keep my guys at good levels. I'm at Olivia and have 4 mons I need to balance.
