Sorry, it's pretty shitty. Especially compared to Daydog (who has better stat distribution).

It should be fine for a playthrough though. Just don't expect him to do well in competitive.

Competitively? Most likely yes.
for normal single player gameplay? you can use legitimately any pokemon if you have someone leveled adequately. This game is not difficult in the slightest.

Ok stats and no guard stone edge with loads of coverage. That's a hidden ability though so he wont be that good in game playthrough

It's not speed that's the issue, it's that most of them are mixed attackers with mediocre stats that ensure they get snapped like a twig to the current powerhouses.
Meanwhile there's some fantastic Pokemon like Toxapex, who along with Ferrothorn will be Skarmbliss 2.0.

There are a bunch of Pokemon that are a complete slog to use either due to their level up movepool or their stat distribution that doesn't fave ingame.

I know for a fact that you never used a Shuckle in a non-modified ingame playthrough, and if you say you did, you're a liar.

come to think of it this is actually bulkier than a serperior. it's a bit slow and it's defesive typing isn't the best but it's 82 speed is sorta neat.
