I've only completed the first island and I can't tell you how disappointed I am already. Can barely bring myself to keep playing.

- barren short routes
- boring town and """"city""""
- inaccesible buildings
- inaccesible rooms
- tallest tower is just one room
- no sidequests, just run from one checkpoint to the next
- loading screens everywhere
- random items littered around as a reward for """exploration"""
- no lore for locations
- ten carat hill is simply a straight path and small grass area, not a fully explorable cave
- framerate drops shockingly
- literally no 3D
- door sound effects when simply stepping into a new area
- no boat animation when travelling between islands, let alone explorable ferry location
- literal constant handholding, constantly being interrupted, stopped or dragged elsewhere by NPCs
- the actual pokemon part feels tacked on

and what do I have to look forward to?
- no frontier or BW2 like facilities
- no post game exploration
- more handholding
- more framerate drops
- more bare locations
- islands somehow smaller than the first
