>>29793193I can't help but feel like they're purposely teasing us with his reappearance. There's no way that Game Freak went out of their way to add him to the game for the Battle Tree, redesign him AND have him pop up during the main game, be referenced by NPCs, and bring up that he's researching Z-Power, just for it to be a random cameo. They didn't do this with Cynthia, and she is arguably a more important character than him. But they did do it with Anabel, who turned out to be important to the post-game story.
I have a feeling Colress will be back in the sequel.
Assuming there will be Sun and Moon follow-up games.
