My theory is that Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Solgaleo, and Lunala all contribute in some form to the equivalent of Alchemy's Rebis, the physical hermaphrodite, one of the major Magnum Opi, and essentially the perfect human being. Rebis takes Mentus, Spiritus, and Corpus, corresponding to Solgaleo, Lunala, and Zygarde respectively, along with the two chromosomes, X and Y. Together, they make perfection, which could correspond to Perfect Zygarde, especially with the five hexagons on his chest.
