The point I am making is that the games still happened. There is nothing to suggest that my copy of Platinum for example, is in a Timeline where there are no Megas. For all intents and purposes, Platinum as we know and love it still happened exactly the same in our current timeline, until any Gen 4 remakes change anything.
So, to make myself completely and utterly clear;
>OLD UNIVERSE:RSE + FRLG -> DPPt + HGSS -> BW -> B2W2
(Old universe is dead and gone now)
>OUR ACTUAL UNIVERSE:OR/AS + FRLG -> DPPt + HGSS -> BW -> B2W2 + XY -> SM
X/Y and S/M make it abundantly clear that all those games are still canon to our universe, whether those regions have seen Mega Evolution or not. The only stuff retconned out is the games that were replaced by remakes. Are we all on the same page now?
