Gen IV easily. How do people even dispute this? They're the best-designed by far and the most interesting in play. Two of them STILL have unique typings, and the other is literally the best example of a mixed Pokemon done correctly (with an absurd movepool ontop of it).

Only one that looks good of the Johto starters is feraligatr, the other two are just plain and boring. Pic related would have been much better for the other two.
