Sometimes I feel like they do this just as passive agressive jabs at the player. Kinda like teasing the BF in ORAS.

I liked sitting but I'm more bafflet by they removing it yet adding lying down rather than angry for the removal. It's just so weird to add that while removing sitting.

Because they made the lying down animation for the intro so the figured they'd allow it for the rest of the game. Same with how you sit with your friends in the beginning of XY so they let you sit everywhere.

That's pretty cool actually.
They keep you from sitting all the time so the few times you do get to sit down it feels special.

Still would have liked to be able to sit at least inside the Pokémon Center though.
