Mareanie location?

Where is this thing? The Pokedex says Diglett Cave, but where exactly is it in the cave? There's no water.

It's not in Diglett's Cave, it's on the route immediately after it. There's one fishing spot there.

Ffs I just encountered the 5% corsola on the route 9 from tables 1 or 2 (honestly not sure which but there is only 1 fishing spot)

I think the tables are split into time zones like dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, dusk, midnight and 2 others since my game time was around 2am...I don't know at this point, I'm gonna try resetting my time to night and see if that can coax it out.

If anyone else wants to drop some I for then that would be great.

on my first hook I found corsola again.

According to the tables it's a 5% chance in slots 1 and 8, so the other 6 SHOULD be mareanie however I'm lost for what these 'slots' actually stand for other than my theorised time of day....any one got any theories?

That's for the sea around the first island. You can get it on Route 9 from Corsola calling on it, and Corsola has a 5% encounter rate. Doesn't sound like much but it's way faster than 1%.

So I can confirm this does work, just got my male limber mareanie. I'm gonna write out some tips/ process on how to do this. So in no particular order...

1) prepare by having a Pokemon know false swipe/ weak move that won't kill the first corsola. I was finding that it wouldn't call for help if it was at full health.

2) have a second Pokemon that can reliably ohko any other corsolas that are called to help that aren't mareanie. The initial corsola tends to call for help 1-2 turns after the other is killed. It could take a few for you to find mareanie.

3)stock up on potions, balls and adrenaline orbs.

4) go to route 9 and fish on the only available spot until you find a corsola, this part will take you the longest. When you find corsola instantly pop an orb. Then chip away at its health until it calls for help. If it's not mareanie kill whatever was called to help and repeat.

Apparently there is a location on melemele island that grants a 20% chance of finding the corsola/ mareanie combo but I don't know where it is yet. If you want to push your luck you can also do this as soon as you get the rod on any of the fishing nodes around kukuis lab which is 1% chance of finding corsola/ mareanie
