Each dye shop only lets you dye one color. I've gotten yellow twice. So good luck getting a color you actually like..

the "quality" of the shop. from my understanding it changes the tables of items and effects you can get out it, for example a 1 star dye shop only lets you use bright colors but 3 star dye shops add dark colors
