>>29823036>Pros-Good difficulty with or without the exp share (seems like exp gain was balanced right)
-NO HMs!
-movement feels smooth as butter
-Pokemon refresh is pokemon amie but WAAAY better/faster for pokemon engagement
-Team skull is the most entertaining evil team hands down
-Probably has the best cast of side characters in the franchise (they cover all the bases well unlike gen 6)
-comfy vibe sort of like gen 3 but more segmented
-Totem pokemon/Kahunas are great additions that lend more variety of tasks than ever before
-Ride pokemon are fast and work well
-Z moves suprisingly fit well and dont hurt the balance much
-Plot/bad guy team is solid and is used to flesh out other characters better than any other generation
-
Solid post game this time-Quality of life changes: PC box, type effectiveness on screen, dedicated pokeball button, send caught to party option, etc.
>Cons-Cutscenes EVERYWHERE. You cant vist even 1 new location without cutscenes
-Slowest start of the franchise probably by more than tripple the length of Diamond and Pearl's beginning
-Pretty much EVERYONE for most of the game dont use more than 2-3 pokemon (it is balanced well EXP wise but it's still annoying)
-Fishing rod is shit
-speed nerf
-Alolan form pandering as well as plenty of regular gen 1 pokemon pandering (why did they need so many regular gen 1 pokes if there are tons of alolan variants? Poliwhirl? Slowpoke? For what?)
-No national dex (seriously?)
-no sitting in chairs
Seems like there's more good than bad at least. And some of those good totally and completely outweigh most of the bad.
