Golisopod looks so threatening it's almost overdesigned - it's intentional.

It's still a wimp inside but puts on a brave face, which is why its signature move is about looking really scary.

Wimpod is scaried, so he Wimp Out when he's in danger.
Golisopod is strong, he has a reputation to keep, so he doesn't show he's scaried. No. When things get bad, he does an Emergency Exit to get the fuck away, live today to fight tomorrow.

In a competitive side, I believe he can work a lot, specially if he can hit the opponent before the ability activate, working as a pivot in much the same way as U-Turn.

What you want to do is have a fast Surf user on your side. Then you can do damage with First Impression, get hit by your own Surf and switch out to an Intimidate user or stuff like that before any of your opponent's attack shit you.

They're giving pokemon too much of a human personality nowadays. Using the Popplio example, every single Popplio has the same show-off animations regardless of its nature.

I keep thinking about how they were plain retarded when trying to "nerf" this generation.

We know that there are good monsters and great monsters usually get a drawback, a bad ability or shit. Truant,defeatist and so on.

On this gen, EVERYTHING is shit and the "so-so" mons get a drawback on the same levels. This one gets this ability, as an example. They think that this pokémon is a great thing among this pile of shit but, agains previous generations it's pretty underwhelming, among the lower tiers, if you prefer to be a smogone.

This ability thattakes back the pokémon while in the middle of a sweep, kill it's boots or let the opponent an opportunity to setup just make it EVEN more retarded.

The only thing we can expect is a big miracle, like every pokémon transfered to the pokébank having a huge nerf in the speed and HP (things that lack a lot in sunmoon), or all that bullshit will just add to the pile of reasons of why this generation is pure shit.

It still gets a fuckload of priority, not to mention it has base 140 defense or something like that. If you bring it in against a mon that you know it would do well against (you know, making a competent tactical decision), then it will get in a few hits before getting a slow switch, something A LOT of people agree is a good thing, as your new switch-in basically comes in for free and doesn't need to take a hit from the opponent.

You know, this ability wouldnt even be so bad if they had just made the fucking thing fast. Atleast with Archeops and Slaking they are fast enough to maybe get a hit in before they are screwed over.

This guy cant even run a normal moveset unless its filled to the brim with priority, which of course this gen has introduced a few ways to fuck up.

I dont even get it, its not like Golisopod would of been broken or anything had you just given it some normal ability. People say its just putting on an act, but I think most would of just rather they go the normal direction and just make the fucker intensely scary.
