The only thing that can be seen as more difficult are some of the totem battles and that says everything because they needed to create battles 2 vs 1. Evertyhing else is piss easy and even the totems can be destruyed easily by z-moves

am I missing something? I chose litten, glided my way to like the 3rd island with no problems at all. and at the 3rd island I formed basically a super team without issue (though mimikyu took a while to get) and got through the E4 with no issue

In fact I think the only time I had a pokemon faint was when Liam's smeargle got a crit on me.

Personally I found the main story as easy as XY

Wishiwashi was nicely planned out with some synergized companions but the others are just pushovers. Doesn't help that instead of gym trainers you just fight some low level wild encounters.

Aether Grunts show up and use slightly bigger teams with more Pokemon variety, but then suddenly you're back to Skulls using one Golbat or Raticate. They didn't try.

Tried to pluck that berry but it 1-shot my Trumbeak before I had a chance

I felt like shit when I got back to the trial and the cast form wasn't even there. Just replaced by the fucking region bird, which was the only way I won.

I'm 5 levels past it and I feel like if I went back to try again I would STILL lose.

Lurantis DEFINATELY makes it worth it to get something that can use Rainy Day and Thief.

Playing with Exp. Share off and no Z-Moves because I thought it would be easy as shit like XY, but the game gives me trouble sometimes. The fucking Lurantis outsped my team even paralyzed and Hau's Raichu outleveled my entire team early on the 3rd island. I also lost like 3 pokemon to a wild Zubat because I tried to enter Diglett Tunnel way too early.
