Samurott is a slow mixed attacker that can barely carry its own weight in higher tiers despite it being very good in NU. It also has a worthless HA considering it's offensive. It got chucked from its Fighting typing and has a rather limited movepool. It doesn't even get Shell Smash despite fitting him thematically.
Emboar is stuck with good attack, HA and movepool, but has shitty base 65 speed and somehow 100 Sp.atk. Doesn't help that recoil and bad speed make it die very very quickly.
Serperior has good speed and a great HA, but shit offense, respectable defenses backed up by a shit defensive typing and a laughable 75 HP. It has a shallow movepool and only Leaf Storm benefits it's HA.
I like these starter, but they're not very viable. Same goes with the gen 2 ones.
