What are you talking about? In Gen VI its eggs match the pattern of the parent anyways, not where it hatched, and they never changed patterns when being traded.

Nah, what matters is where the egg was conceived. If I breed two Monsoons in my game (Marine), the baby will have the Marine pattern.

Didn't happen that way in my Y or OR from my memory.

If it is the case though, I see no reason it would change in SM since the system's set region is still there. Unlike Deerling's season gimmick dying because there's no season mechanic in XY.
