He did originally say it was going to reset, but he's backpedaled on that. It doesn't matter if it really resets, although it's possible. His theory now is just that there will be some major change that is going to be made in the next generation. Something that GF has been planning for years. It could be like the end of Mario Galaxy, where everything is born anew, mostly the same but distinctly different.
