I watched the latest Pokemon Generations episode and remembered Buck was a character.

I looked him up cuz wynaut and I saw that he was related to Elite 4 Flint. I also read that they both had a grandfather.

Is their grandfather Alder from Gen 5? I mean they look very similar in design and their grandfather was never shown in DPPt. All that is mentioned is that their grandfather runs the Battleground in Sinnoh.

I know this is literally nothing but I thought it was kind of interesting.
