Its Special Attack is mediocre, so you probably won't use special moves except for surprise value. Its physical moveset is surprisingly good, especially considering its a Grass-type with Earthquake.

Most importantly, Anchor Shot is a Steel-type trapping move, meaning nothing's immune to it. Steelworker allegedly gives Steel a 50% boost, which would basically give it STAB without actually being a Steel-type.

I'm hopeful for this guy.

Design is fucking amazing, loved it at first sight. As shit tier as their stats are this gen has a lot of cool designs.

Mimikyu and Dhelmise are honestly in my top 10 pokemon, love them.

After seeing this guy's nice movepool, I think he's gone from "wtf is that" tier to almost bro tier in my eyes. Anyone know how soon you can get him in SM? He looks really fun for ingame. Don't really understand the grass typing on him though it should have been water or steel.

I really thought it was going to be steel/ghost or ghost/water. Ghost/grass is pretty weird but it's interesting. Was happy to see a nautical pokemon, and the ghost ship concept is cool. Can't wait for all the art it will get.

It's undead seaweed using derelict ship parts to attack. From the dex:

Their parent or caretaker is going to buy it for them next week and after a few weeks of play, they will be able to access hidden movesets and usage that the average mind could not.

Ghost has better type coverage overall. So not better in every way. I'm still not convinced that Dhelmise is straightup better than Decidueye. It's going to be a matter of bulk and power versus versatility. More speed, reliable recovery, more moves...these are pros for Decidueye. I don't think either is going to set the meta on fire, though.

Parting Shot in general gives it a niche, and it gets to choose between some of the best defensive types to help it get it off a few times in a match

it also gets access to Draco Meteor, which is good even off base 95 Special Attack
