Yes they have. They've given us new Pokemon, a new region, new alternatives to hordes and super training (whether you like them or not); a new alternative to gyms, new hot girls, new hot boys; amazing new types of legendaries, etc.

This. At a certain point, shitposters just shitpost because they crave attention, e.g. the people complaining about the helper Pokemon.

The game is terrific and feels complete as it is. If anything, the cutscenes in the beginning feel like a chore to get through, but the game really picks up by the 3rd island, at which point if you're not using the Exp. Share you'll find yourself underleveled.

That's the whole problem though.

Most people DON'T like these alternatives because they are inferior.

Why the fuck can't gamefreak just leave in the best features and not fuck with them?

Super training and the Dexnav should have stayed. Amie was improved, so they have no excuse why they removed the other two.

Even if you like Sun and Moon, the fact that more than half the Alolan Pokedex is unusable shit, that the National Pokedex and Horde Battles have been removed, that even a simple double battle produces framerate issues and that the main scenario (and battles) are plagued with unskippable cutscenes is simply indefensible. That isn't "oh it's just your opinion" it's literally objective reasons for why Sun & Moon are bad pokemon games, and its just the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry op but the games are objectively worse than any iteration of the franchise that I can think of. No national dex is a slap in the face and everything has been nerfed and very 'hand-holdy' even moreso than x and y. Im really REALLY hoping that there is a more complete Switch version of the game because for the first time I feel kinda cheated. Ive been playing since gen II and this feels like one of the weakest games in the franchise. I still have my games preordered and ill begrudgingly play through them but so far from what ive played I am not impressed at all.

I've already turned in all my Gen VI carts. It's Gen I-V only for me from here on out, unless they bust a move and make an actually decent Pokemon game on the NX or something, but I sincerely doubt it. GF doesn't give a fuck. Whatever takes the minimal amount of effort for the greatest profit is the route they'll always take.
