I'm not going to give you opinions on how bad it is, but here are the facts:
-No hordes
-Triple Battles removed
-Rotation Battles removed
-Framerates not fixed
-No sitting
-No regional dex without transferring them with Bank. So once you've beaten the game, you don't suddenly get hundreds more Pokemon appearing in Alola; you have to move them in yourself with Bank. There is a way to get non-regional dex Pokemon using QR codes where you scan 10 QR codes and a random Pokemon roams in a certain area for a period of time, but you have no control over what this Pokemon is and we don't know whether or not it's 1 of 300 random Pokemon or 1 of 20.
-Press A to walk in doors, no more just walking in anymore.
-There are lots of 'Press A!' prompts, for example when you're standing next to an item
-Postgame is pretty small, battle tree has only 9 returning 'classic' trainers and they're weird choices.
-The stats of the new Pokemon are generally disappointing, speed in general is nerfed hard. Vikavolt has only 43 speed despite being described as being very fast in the Pokedex. Even if you don't play competitively you will notice this.
-Because the speed stats are so slow, everything in Gen VII is going to be massively outclassed online when Bank is released and everyone is using Gen I-VI Pokemon
-Male customization is as limited as it was in X/Y
There are others I can't think of now but these are all I can call to memory right now.
